Community Funeral Service is Prepared to Safely Care For Families During the COVID-19 Pandemic

La Habra, CA -Community Funeral Service remains committed and prepared to safely care for the families it serves during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Whenever possible, and in following the guidance given by the CDC, and our state and local public heal officials, Community Funeral Service will continue to enable families to participate to the degree possible in the traditions that are most important to them.

According to the CDC, at this time, there is no known risk associated with being in the same room with the body of someone who died of confirmed or suspected COVID-19; however, we are limited to a maximum of 10 people for any type of gathering. Depending on a family’s preferences, their loved one can be safely embalmed.

“At Community Funeral Service we recognize our responsibility to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve,” said Herald Snyder, Owner/Manager “We will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully commemorate the life of their loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state and local public health officials.”

Snyder continued: “Our staff remains vigilant about cleaning our facilities and ensuring we’re all following recommended healthy habits, such as staying home when sick, washing our hands, and covering coughs and sneezes. The CDC and our state and local public health officials have offered a lot of helpful guidance for businesses on this topic, which we continue to follow.”

The following services and options are currently being provided for our families:

Online, Phone, or In Person arrangements:

If you prefer in person, we ask that you take precautionary measures and wear a face mask. We will allow a maximum of two family representatives per arrangement.

Visitation:

This is limited to a maximum of 10 attendees per state and local public health officials. These visitations are limited to our Fullerton facility, or in the presence of your home where there is no known COVID-10 exposure. All attendees must wear a face mask.

A small service may be held within our Fullerton facility; however that is currently being limited to immediate family and no more than 10 attendees, including clergy. You are welcome to set up a virtual service with the use of ZOOM, Facebook or YouTube. Facemasks must be worn.
