Beverly Tanner

November 5, 1953 — December 16, 2020

Beverly was born in Los Angeles in 1953. She spent most of her life in Downey until marrying in 1980. We lived in Downey for a few more years and then moved to Lakewood and on to Whittier in 1988. She lived in Whittier from then until her death. She worked as a medical assistant until having our daughter Allison in 1984. After Allison started school Beverly went to work for the Lowell Joint School District as an Attendance Clerk at OLITA Elementary School where Allison attended school. She loved working at the school and continued there until 2017 when her health forced her to retire. Beverly had a great family, hundreds of friends and loved them all. She especially enjoyed playing Bunco. We were both big fans of the La Habra High School band and football team. Beverly was also a lifetime Dodger fan and a Laker fan and greatly enjoyed both of their chamionships this year. Beverly and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on July 5th 2020. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Mark Tanner, daughter Allison (Tanner) Negrete, Grandson Connor Negrete, Grand Daughter Georgia Negrete, sisters Rosalie Czernek and Brenda Bernard and Brother Bill Bernard. She was pre-deceased by her father William Bernard and mother Jennie Bernard.
