Eleazar Trejo Cazares

April 3rd, 1976 - October 17th, 2019

Born to Tomas and Irene Cazares in Fresno, California; "Elea," "Ele," "El," as we all knew him, was raised in a loving Christian home in Del Rey, California, and attended Gethsemani Pentecostal Holiness Church in Sanger, California, for the first five years of his life. After the family moved to Selma, California, Elea attended Cathedral of Light Assemblies of God, where he also attended school. Around 10 or 11 years-old Elea started attending New Day Church in Selma, California, ad stayed there until he graduated from Selma High School where upon graduation he attended Point Loma Nazarene University in Point Loma, California. Elea loved attending PLNU and often had family and friends down to visit and was their tour guide of the beautiful city of San Diego, California.

While Elea attended PLNU he became a member of the Nazarene Church. When he returned to Selma, CA, Elea attended Trinity Church of The Nazarene in Fresno, California, and later transferred to First Church of The Nazarene also in Fresno..

In 2009, Elea met his beautiful bride to be, Christina Gonzales; the two married on March 6, 2010, and began their journey as one in Los Angeles, California. Elea and Christina both became members of First Church of The Nazarene in Los Angeles and plugged into ministry; Elea had many positions within the church, including English Congregation Board Security, Director of SDMI, Wednesday Nigh Bible Study Leader, Young Adults Leader, Committee Leader for Church Anniversaries, and MCB Board Secretary. For those who were willing to step out in faith, he was instrumental in leading and guiding them to fulfill their purpose. When Elea put his mind to doing something, he did it to the best of his ability, but if he knew you could do it better, he volunteered you to get it done.

Elea went to be with the Lord on the evening of October 17, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents; Tomas and Irene Cazares, his grandparents; Bruno and Flora Cazares, Rito and Petra Trejo. Elea leaves behind his wife; Christina Cazares, his faithful sidekick; Taco Cazares, his siblings; Marty Cazares, Flora Cazares-Hernandez, Kacey and Rita Oliver, and Thomas and Veronica Cazares; nephews and nieces; Jerry, Andrew, and Jocelyn Hernandez, Genevieve, Rebecca and Anthony Cazares, Robert, Patricia and Julie Oliver, Ava Valenzuela, Kayla and Alynda Gutierrez, Cameron and Taylor, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws in the Cazares, Trejo, Gozales, Valenzuela, and Verdugo Families.
